Rachel and Avery chose the stunning Short Sands Beach for their engagement photos, a hidden gem often referred to as "Shorty's" by locals. Nestled within Oswald West State Park on the Northern Oregon Coast, this cove is surrounded by majestic old-growth forests and dramatic volcanic cliffs, offering a backdrop perfect for capturing love.

A few weeks prior to their session, Michael and I discovered this breathtaking area while hiking the Cape Falcon Trail, which winds above the beautiful cove. We were overjoyed when they expressed interest in this location, especially as we planned to return to set up our drone before the Falcon nesting season.
